Tuesday, January 12, 2016 -Janis Mann "A first class jazz singer!" Scott Yanow, jazz critic and author, proclaims. At once both a striking song stylist and a fearless improviser, Janis Mann is that rare artist who can sweep you away with her captivating sound. She is a true jazz singer in the manner of Carmen McRae, Betty Carter, and Shirley Horn, yet with a sound all her own. An exciting and engaging performer, Janis' rich timbre, flexibility, and range often invite comparisons to Sarah Vaughan. "Janis Mann continues to generate some of the best vocal music anywhere." These words from Cadence Magazine reviewer Alan Bargebuhr confirm what fans of this award-winning singer have known for years.

Monday, February 1, 2016 -Gina Eckstine. Ms. Eckstine is a true artist. She performs all styles of music beautifully and her powerful presence and unique voice will captivate you. "Eckstine, whose father was Billy Eckstine, has the spunk, the spirit and the soul of her family's patriarch. At her best, she delivers a song with the same intense ability to tell a musical story." -Don Heckman, International Review

She is a multi-award winning, critically acclaimed singer, songwriter, producer, and arranger who has toured the world with her distinctive sound. Sweet Baby J'ai's mixture of musical styles is mesmerizing ... there's no doubt the `being real' is what makes this unique performer one of a kind. "A powerful performer blessed with Lena Horne's biting enunciation, J'ai sometimes sounds as pure and creamy as Ann Hampton Calloway, and other times embraces the earthy integrity of Nina Simone." -says The Jazz Times

Monday, March 7, 2016- Season Finale Ariana Savalas. This seductive chanteuse captivates her listeners with her signature smooth as silk vocals, a quick wit, and a delightfully naughty sense of humor. But adding to this young singer's successes is her dynamic songwriting talent. Audiences enjoy a potpourri of music in her live shows ranging from timeless classics of the jazz era infused with Ariana's own original compositions, occasionally accompanying herself at piano and even ukulele. Her ability to marry classic with contemporary results in a timeless show that is enjoyed by audiences of all ages. After seeing Ariana in concert, Variety lovingly wrote, "As Telly would have said, 'who loves ya, baby?' They all do."
