Gorilla Tango Burlesque - known for ribald parodies of nerd-friendly pop-culture topics – brings a taste of Chicago to Skokie through the opening of its latest parody burlesque show! HOLY BOUNCING BOOBIES! A BATMAN BURLESQUE will perform Saturdays at 9pm, August 4 – September 29, 2012 at Gorilla Tango's Skokie Theatre (7924 Lincoln Ave. Skokie, IL 60077). 18 and over only; tickets are $20 and available for purchase online at www.gorillatango.com or by calling 773-598-4549.

In this campy, sexy and silly parody, Batman and Robin are put to the ultimate test of intellect when they learn that Batgirl has been captured by the reprehensible Riddler! Now the Dynamic Duo must travel through the streets of Gotham to retrieve the Riddler's clues from all of Batman's enemies before midnight. Join the Caped Crusaders on this quest, featuring sultry burlesque numbers and a full roster of vile villains (including Catwoman, Two-Face, The Penguin, and even Egghead!)

Writer Jeremy Eden quotes, "It's a show that combines three of my favorite things: Batman and boobs. It's the perfect blend of action, satire, and camp. Generations old and new can find humor in it, whether it be a laugh of nostalgia or detached irony. And hopefully it will help people appreciate the oft-maligned series from the 60's."

Director/Choreographer Juicy Lucy (a veteran performer of GTB, including boob-clapping Mola Ram in TEMPLE OF BOOBS: AN INDIANA JONES BURLESQUE, and debonair Tony Stark in SUPERBOOBS: A BURLESQUE SUPERHERO ADVENTURE) adds "It's wonderful to be the first Gorilla Tango Burlesque show to open in Skokie. This production is completely unique and the venue really allows us to stretch ourselves more creatively. After performing in five different GTB shows over the past year myself, it's been a joy to direct a show and come up with fresh ideas that we haven't implemented into any other GTB production. The costumes (by Kristen Ahern) keep the classic 1960s Batman authenticity while giving it the old burlesque sparkly and sexy spin. Jeremy Eden's script uses some classic and deep track references for the fan boys and girls but still plays with contemporary comedic conventions. I've been fortunate enough to be able to surround myself with an extremely talented cast and production team who are all a part of this hilarious, sexy show that will surely bring some light into all of our dark knights."

Don't miss HOLY BOUNCING BOOBIES! A BATMAN BURLESQUE, performing at Gorilla Tango's Skokie Theatre Saturdays at 9pm in August and September.

Starring Geek Girl veterans Marie Curieosity and Crystal Paradise as Batman and Robin, and Baby Davis, Bottom Heavy Betty, Kali CandyKiss, Vicki Van Go-Go, and newest Geek Girl Phaedra Black and Towanda Lust as the rogues gallery, HOLY BOUNCING BOOBIES! A BATMAN BURLESQUE is the comedic cure for your dark knight.

The show is directed by Juicy Lucy, choreographed by Hazel Hellbender, Crystal Paradise, and Juicy Lucy and written by Jeremy M. Eden (3G1R, EEK! Theatre) with costumes by Kristen Ahern.

Over the past year and a half, Gorilla Tango Burlesque has gone from the debut of the surprise hit "Boobs & Goombas: A Super Mario Burlesque" to a local burlesque/comedy powerhouse with literally thousands of audience members through the door to see unique burlesque parodies of everything from Star Wars ("A Nude Hope: A Star Wars Burlesque") to Indiana Jones ("Temple of Boobs: An Indiana Jones Burlesque") to fantasy films and RPGs ("Fellowship of the Boobs: an LOTR, WoW, D&D, RPG Burlesque" performing Fridays at 9pm) -- and that's just a small selection of what they have available for-- as their slogan states-- "the Discerning Nerd."
