Six-time Grammy Award nominee, and nouveau flamenco guitarist Ottmar Liebert, has released 25 albums and received 38 Gold and Platinum distinctions in the U.S., Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. His debut album La Semana has become one of the best-selling guitar albums of all time, and he has twice been named by Billboard Magazine as "New Age Artist of the Year." This year he released two new albums, Three-oh-Five and Bare Wood, works that reflect his ever evolving musicianship.

Liebert is one of the most successful instrumental artists of our time, thrilling sold-out audiences throughout the world. He returns to the Spencer Theater stage with his dynamic band, Luna Negra at 8 p.m. tonight, July 26, sharing his many evocative tunes. A few seats remain for $69 & $66. In prelude to his concert is a masters class, a rare opportunity for guitarists of all levels to receive insight and personal tips on technique and style from the master. The class is limited to 50; participants must be ticket holders for the evening concert.

This promises to be a night of richly atmospheric music. Liebert's mesmerizing instrumental compositions conjure up a multitude of gorgeous images, many of the ancient Spanish and Muslim Andalusia of lore, as well as visions of the rugged American southwest with its vistas with deep canyons, undulating deserts and snaky spirits. His is the music of imagination and travel, a deeply pleasurable vehicle for capturing different vistas - all at the Spencer Theater.
