Moving forward with its commitment to securing the best in world-class entertainment, Huck Finn Jubilee has changed its annual dates of operation to the second weekend in June, starting in 2015, organizers announced today.

This is a change from the music festival's previous schedule, which fell on Father's Day weekend of each year. The change allows for easier planning and avoids potential conflicts with the Telluride bluegrass festival, which is held the third weekend in June (occasionally on Father's Day weekend).

"This switch in scheduling gives Huck Finn greater access to national acts, including those who may be performing at Telluride," said Huck Finn organizer Michael Krouse, President and CEO of the Greater Ontario Convention & Visitors Bureau. "It enhances our ability to secure the world-class jam and bluegrass talent that our fans have come to expect."

Top performers at this year's event included The String Cheese Incident, the Legendary Dr. Ralph Stanley, Keller Williams, The Del McCoury Band, Rhonda Vincent, Sam Bush and more - Grammy-winning and/or top-selling artists in their field. The festival's focus on attracting internationally acclaimed artists contributed to its record-breaking attendance figures: Huck Finn drew more visitors in 2014 than in any other year in its 38-year history.

"Our commitment to securing world-class performers in 2014 put us on the map of the nation's top music festivals," Krouse said. "Just wait to see what we announce for next year... Huck Finn in 2015 is going to be even bigger and better."
