Julesworks presents edition thirty-four of Santa Fe's Monthly Variety Show, The Julesworks Follies, on January 26th at 7 pm. Our show continues at the Jean Cocteau Cinema at 418 Montezuma.

The Julesworks Follies commemorates our 34th entry as Santa Fe's only Monthly Variety Show with a year opening edition that will balance original material with our rip-off tributes to the greats including Monty Python, more snippets of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy BBC radioplay, and more.

Chris Diestler reprises his role as host and also is in sketches and one of our main writers. Diestler is an all-around performer, emcee and DJ with Hutton Broadcasting and much more.

Each month balances solo performers and acts with pieces by members of Julesworks troupe who rehearse together. Pulling from new source material, Stephen Jules Rubin, Tom Sibley and Marti Mills will present the Lucy sequence from Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and Daniel Tarrango will do an SNL sketch from the Sandler years, Subway Musician with Tom Sibley and Rommel.

A new flash segment will be TimeOut with Ben Affleck and Matt Damon starring Sibley and Jules.

Julesworks will begin "airing" fake commercials.

Continuing to honour their Monty Python roots, they present the Flying Circus Sketch Mafia Military and the Nudge Nudge Sketch.

The serialized reading continues of snippets of the BBC Radio Play Versions of "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" with Diestler, Jules, Mills, & Tarrango and joining for the first time will be Daryl Wellington.

Julesworks presents the 34th chapter of their serial, "Whatever You Do: Chatting with God" starring Sibley, Diestler, Jules, Rommel and Mills.

The Julesworks Improved Improv aka Gentlemen with Spreadsheets and their Lovely Ladies will present a game or two involving audience input.

The series called Democracy Later continues to satire contemporary politics. A loving riff off the famed Radio Show, who's emphasis is on pointing out the absurd in our daily news.

The new segment Julesworks Isn't Always Serious will continue, being presentations of famous monologues or scenes. Jules will present passages from American Psycho and more.

Other Loyalists who perform as monthly as possible include:

Tom Sibley stand up comic, Leticia Cortez , poet, Westin McDowell aka Watts Faller with more of his Vaudeville fun, author Daryl Wellington and our resident musician Gregg Turner.

The Open Slot Slot will carry on to possibly allow a quick piece by interested audience members.

Tickets are $7 including a ticket to the Julesworks Raffle and available now at: www.jeancocteaucinema.com

We thank Marti Mills for our graphic design and Bruce McIntosh for his video work.

The show will carry on towards the end of each month.

All performers and artists, as well as anyone interested in helping behind the scenes, are encouraged to submit possible show ideas to Jules at: srubinfilms@gmail.com
