Featuring four stellar, classically trained vocalists that first seized the world at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics, Vivace (pronounced Vi-va-chay) has since captivated audiences with their beautiful blend of powerful male vocals and emotionally driven female vocals.

Individually, the dazzling sopranos Melody Courage & Tiffany Desrosiers and tenors Michael Ciufo & Mark Devigne have been featured soloists with such great symphonies as the Prince George Symphony, the Winnipeg & Toronto Symphonies and Vancouver Opera; revered venues like the Pantheon in Rome and celebrations like Verdi's 200th birthday in Fidenza, as well as in collaboration with such diverse rock & pop icons as Jackson Browne, Ben Harper, Jim Brickman and Tracy Dahl.

But it is together as that one beautiful voice -- Vivace -- that this handsome, young quartet has captivated the globe as a collective musical force. They come to the Spencer Theater on Saturday, April 25 at 7 p.m. sharing a classical-crossover of rich and diverse melodies. Their distinctive blend, dubbed "Popera," includes pop anthems & songs, operatic arias and folk traditionals, as well as evocative and original melodies. Their Spencer program includes classics by Puccini, Johnny Cash, Il Divo, Righteous Brothers, Celine Dion, Elvis Presley, Gershwin, Adele, Josh Groban, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Sarah Brightman, "Phantom" and so many other favorites.

Joined on the Spencer stage by pianist Trevor Hoffmann and violinist Elyse Jacobson, Vivace will simply melt your heart in stirring renditions of "Summertime," "I Believe," "Unchained Melody," "You Raise Me Up," "The Prayer," "All I Ask of You," "O Mio Babbino Caro," "O Sole Mio," "Time to Say Goodbye," "Nessun Dorma," "Requiem For A Soldier," "Can't Help Falling In Love," and "Phantom of the Opera," among other exquisite tunes. That's popera, and it's Vivace!
